Top 50% Sustainability Performance.
Norman Noble has received the EcoVadis Bronze Medal for sustainability performance in the company’s first year of participation. The bronze ranking indicates that Norman Noble is in the top 50% of participating companies in their manufacturing sector.
“We are pleased that this bronze award recognizes our senior management’s and employees’ dedication for environmental excellence and sustainability,” said Julie Bennett Lowry, Director of Facilities/EHS at Norman Noble.
Norman Noble’s ongoing strategic plan includes focusing on sustainability principles of eco-design, product stewardship, waste reduction and recycling, and carbon footprint reduction. Norman Noble’s major achievements include reducing the company’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by approximately 58% since 2018 and their Ohio facilities industrial waste generation by 75% since 2015. From 2018 through 2021, Norman Noble also recycled more than 1 million pounds of scrap specialized metals for reuse.
Since its founding in 2007, EcoVadis has grown to become the world’s largest and one of the most trusted independent providers of business sustainability ratings, creating a global network of more than 100,000+ rated companies. Their Sustainability Scorecard illustrates performance across 21 indicators in four themes: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
